A Reels Series for Elathen — Self-Development Content by Sofia

Reels series for Elathen, a self-development project by Sofia — Ivan Rakov Studio

We produced a series of Reels for Elathen, a self-development and psychology-focused project led by blogger Sofia. Before shooting, we researched the space specifically — how self-development content performs, what formats hold attention in a niche built around introspection rather than quick tips, and where there was room for Sofia's own voice to stand out from the noise already in that category.

Content Built Around a Voice

Self-development and psychology content depends on the audience trusting the person delivering it — the tone has to feel genuine, not performative. We shot with that in mind: simple, grounded setups that let Sofia's presence and delivery carry each clip, rather than styling that would feel at odds with content meant to feel personal and reflective.

Testing Formats On Purpose

As with any new content push, we treated the series as a test — longer, narrative-driven Reels that let a concept unfold and build emotional weight, alongside shorter, more direct clips built for reach and quick takeaways. Comparing how each format landed gave a clear read on what resonates with Elathen's audience specifically, rather than guessing at a one-size-fits-all approach.

Scripting to Match the Format

Part of the work included writing scripts built for short-form pacing — a strong opening line to stop the scroll, ideas delivered in clear, digestible beats, and structure built to hold attention through to the end of the clip.

Why It Matters

In a crowded self-development space, differentiation matters as much as consistency. A tested, varied Reels series gives a project like Elathen real data on what actually connects with its audience — insight that shapes the content strategy going forward instead of relying on guesswork.
